On Sunday February 11th, Nancy Stern Scholem will visit Congregation Ohev Shalom to share the story of the 1917 Eddystone ammunition plant explosion which claimed 133 lives and the Chester race riots that followed soon after. Nancy has done extensive research and will join us to discuss the impact of these events as well as the direct connection to Congregation Ohev Shalom. This event is open to all members. Brunch will be served at 10:30 AM and Nancy will begin her presentation at 11:00 AM.
Nancy is an avid genealogist, reader and needle pointer. She holds a BA in 19th Century English Literature and an MS in Children’s Literatue. Nancy also is an accredited End of Life Doula.
