On Saturday, May 14th, we will be holding our annual Lostice Shabbat, remembering the Czech Jewish community from which we inherited a Torah scroll that survived the Holocaust. This year will be particularly special, because the Lostice scroll has been made Kosher again after 70 years of not being usable in services. So we will be able to officially chant our Shabbat reading from it for the very first time! In addition, we will be reading aloud our newly-created Lostice Megillah, which tells the story of the scroll alongside beautiful artwork by the phenomenal artist, Siona Benjamin.
