 ith Dr. Gopin  Why Study Ethics?  The Jewish Interpretive Tradition and 
 its Relationship to Making Moral Decisions. \n 	*Saturday\, November 15th
 \, 9:00 AM: Join us for services and Nosh and Drosh focusing on Perek HaSh
 alom: What the Talmud has to say about Peace. \n 	*Saturday\, November 15
 th\, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Book Talk on Compassionate Reasoning: Changing th
 e Mind to Change the World (book signing to follow).  A light dinner will
  be served.\n 	Sunday\, November 16th\, 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM: Practical Ste
 ps toward Nonviolence--Jewish\, American\, and Universal (book signing to 
 follow). Breakfast will be served. \n\nInformation about the events are s

 bout Dr. Marc Gopin:\n\nA professor of World Religions\, Diplomacy and Con
 flict Resolution at George Mason University\, Dr. Marc Gopin has engaged f
 or decades in the practice of conflict resolution\, citizen diplomacy\, an
 d support for the victims of war. He has pioneered peacebuilding work from
  Syria and Israel to Iran and Afghanistan\, focused on uplifting the voice
 s of religious and secular peacebuilders from all sides of complex violent
  conflicts. Dr. Gopin has trained several thousand students in conflict he
 aling and peacebuilding where complex cultural\, religious and psychosocia
 l elements play a key role. In the U.S.\, his antiracism work has been foc
 used on support for multiracial relationship building among police chiefs 
 and officers\, as well as among citizens in key cities\, with a focus on i
 n-depth exploration of best practices of moral reasoning in dangerous situ
