Our Executive Director, Mark P. Sykes

Congregation Ohev Shalom in Wallingford, PA, is proud to announce the hiring of Mark P. Sykes as executive director. Following an intensive national search, the board of directors of the congregation hired Sykes who begins work July 1.

Ohev Shalom’s board of directors expects Sykes to use his broad experience in the field of Jewish administration to assist the synagogue in its vision of growth in the coming year. Sykes is expected to play a significant role in Ohev Shalom’s most essential initiatives. These include membership development and retention, programming, and communications.

Sykes most recently worked at Congregation Neytz Hachochma in North Miami Beach, FL. He also has experience working with congregations, Jewish foundations and Jewish organizations across southern Florida. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Maryland and has received the National Excellence in Programming Award five times.
