Another Exciting Program from the Mispallelim
Religious School
Another exciting Bat Mitzvah Project: This is open to the whole Congregation and
their friends. Save the date and time: Sunday, December 18, 2005 at 6:00.
Tickets will go on sale Sunday, December 4.
As part of Congregation Ohev Shalom’s Chanukah program, Bat Mitzvah
candidate Rachel Cohen, daughter of Jane and Josh Cohen, will present the play
Eliza’s Miracle
. Rachel wrote the script, basing it on the children’s picture book
The Tie
Man’s Miracle
,
by Steven Schnur. Rachel will direct and act in the play. All proceeds
collected from ticket sales will be donated to a Jewish tzedakah.
Schedule for that evening:
5:30—The Mispallelim Religious School will begin. There will not be school in the
morning. Students will report to their regular classrooms.
6:00—Rabbi Robbins will start the program with a short lesson on Chanukah.
6:30—We are asking all families to bring in a special Chanukiah to light as a
community. Menorahs will be lined up around the
room to bring beauty and warmth into our celebration.
A light dinner will be served. Reservations are required.
7:00—Play will begin.
Following the play, dessert will be served in the
reception room.
More information will be coming in flyers, emails,
and synagogue telephone chains
.
