Our community, Congregation Ohev Shalom in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, is an egalitarian Conservative synagogue. We are a community that is large enough to allow everyone to find people with similar interests, but small enough to allow everyone to feel like they are part of a family. Our traditional but innovative shul offers regular religious services, a daily minyan, a vibrant Hebrew School and active youth group, varied educational activities, and a strong social action program. Founded in 1891 in nearby Chester, Pennsylvania, our shul is now located in Wallingford, Delaware County, just minutes off of I-95, south of Media and Swarthmore, southwest of Philadelphia, and east of Chester County. Through mergers and growth, we now have roughly 330 member families, single and married, young and old, long-time congregants and brand new members. Under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Mark Robbins and Cantor David Acker, Congregation Ohev Shalom, which is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, offers a full range of adult and children’s services and educational programs, regardless of your familiarity with Jewish ritual.
